Suzanne Parker of Suzanne Parker's Doggie School, and Amber Heckman of Amber H Dogs will be teaching an upcoming Class coming in March 2026. Level 2 Obedience/Teenage Blues!

Is your dog giving you the middle paw?
Your dog may be in need of a tune up on their basic level 1 obedience skills, manners or socialization skills. You might have a "teenage dog", or you may have an older dog that is just testing you and needs a little refresher, and reminder. Here is what we will be covering in this expedited and fast paced class.

Requirement: Must have already completed and passed the Level 1 Obedience class.

Cost $185.00

Class 1 - 3/07 Noon to 1 PM
Review of basic cues from Level 1
Look at me - focus and impulse control
OFF - No jumping on anyone or anything
Sit, Stand and Down
Stay - 30 foot long line and walking away - timer on!
Come or Here - 30 foot long line and partner recall

Place and Settle

Class 2 - 3/08 Noon to 1 PM

Greetings - humans, humans with dogs, humans with kids
Life exposure training and public access training at a local large box store

Class 4 - 3/15 Noon to 1 Pm
Mac Mutt Strut
Public access in the city. Walking downtown in McMinnville practicing life exposure skills, Place cue, and other cues that are useful and necessary in a city environment.

Leash Communication Sessions

Want to live a good life with your dog enjoying what the world has to offer? It begins with good leash communication.
Leash pulling does not have to be the norm for you. Let’s meet and we can discuss how to get walking - together. Sessions are $75Newberg/$85 out of Newberg for an hour.
"What To Do With this Dog?!" Consultations

Oh! I’ve been there. I know we have to start where we are to get where we’re going. Let me sit down with you, in your home and with your pup; let’s identify where the break in the communication and connection happens. Let’s aim toward contentment - and make a plan. Whether I can help you with education, training, or recommend a class I am offering, I will do what I can to help. I’ve been there. It’s stressful - and sometime scary. The good news is that you don’t have to stay there. Let’s get the human/canine communication lines open and get connected. Sessions are $75Newberg/$85 out of Newberg in person.

Behavior Modification Sessions

Do you love your dog. And NOT love this “thing” that they do? Barking at passersby, playing keep away when you want them to come, etc. Or is there something you would like for them to learn like how to kennel, or stay out of the kitchen when you are cooking (or not counter surf and eat the dinner that was meant for you!) Ultimately, you are your dogs trainer. Let’s get together and make life better for you and your dog. Sessions are $75Newberg/$85 out of Newberg for an hour.
Day Training

Time to train can be tough to come by.
I can help.
Rather than a board and train, in this Day Train program, I work with your dog in hour blocks. During these sessions, I will work with your dog on basic obedience and specific behaviors you would like.
At the end of the appointment or the start of the next, you, your dog, and I, work together to ensure you are confident in your communication and connection with your canine.
It’s not board and train. It’s better.
In the end, YOU are your dog’s trainer. YOU are the one who should feel the flow of clear, consistent communication - and what it takes to live a good life with your dog!
